This species has been found only in two specimens in 1984 by Morishita in Doi Angkang (Chiang Mai) and never found anymore. Could be arrived with imported trees from Taiwan and established just for short time. Further research are needed to confirm the existence in Thailand and to establish the correct subspecies.
