Troides amphrysus is a not very common peninsular species, usually flying high on the canopy and seldom settle down and spread its wings.
This species is protected in Thailand, according to Ministerial Regulation No. 4, 1995, under the Wild Animal Preservation and Protection Act 1992, Article 6.
